Dr. Jorge Alberto Marques Martins has served as the NonExecutive Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Martifer SGPS SA since May 11, 2012. Since 2004, he was Vice Chairman of the Board of the Company and served as its Chief Executive Officer between 2009 and May 11, 2012. He was Member of the Company Executive Committee till May 11, 2012. He also acts as Chairman of the Boards of Directors of Martifer Renewables SGPS SA, Martifer Solar SA and WPT Wind Power Transmission SA, among others. He serves as Member of the Board of Directors of a number of companies, including SPEE 3 Parque Eolico do Baiao SA, Ventipower SA and IM SGPS SA. He was one of the founding shareholders of Martifer Group in 1990, having started his professional activities in 1987 at SOCARPOR Sociedade de Cargas Portuarias Lda as Adjunct to the Financial Director. He graduated in Economics from Universidade do Porto and gained a Masters of Business Administration from Universidade Catolica Portuguesa . since 2012.
