From 2000 to 2005 he served at McKinsey Company, Inc. as Management Consultant and from 1992 to 1995 he was an Intern at Deutsche Bank AG. He studied Economics and Business Administration at Gerhard MercatorUniversity Duisburg and Indiana University of Pennsylvania and graduated with Master in Economics and Business Administration. In 2007 he completed Ph.D. at HumboldtUniversity Berlin, Institute of Banking, Stock Exchanges and Insurances. since 2016.
