Mary Jo has a BS from the University of Windsor and holds a Master of Health Science from the University of Toronto and Honorary Doctorates of Laws from the University of Windsor, Ryerson University and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology. In 2011, Mary Jo was named one of Canadas inaugural Top 25 Women of Influence in Health Sciences and was inducted into Canadas Most Powerful Women Top 100 Hall of Fame by the Womens Executive Network. In 2012, she received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. She is a Member of the Order of Canada and a recipient of the Ontario Premiers Award for Outstanding Achievement. She was appointed Chancellor of the University of Windsor . since 2014.
