Suzanne started her career in the U.K. Government as a Civil Servant in the U.K. Treasury. At the Treasury she worked as Private Secretary to the Financial Secretary as well as leading thinking on the Governments privatization policy and supporting the Chancellor in negotiations at ECOFIN in Brussels. Prior to that she studied science at Oxford University and then at Cambridge University . Lady Heywood is also a Board Member of The Economist and of the Royal Opera House and the Royal Academy of Arts Trust. since 2018.
