He also served on the Board of Directors of YCC Holdings LLC, a retailer of candles, fragrances and other products, from October 2007 to October 2013, and on the Board of Directors of ACCESS, an organization providing housing, food and counseling to homeless women and their children in Akron, Ohio, from 1996 to 2012. since 2018.

Burman joined Signet in 1995 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sterling Jewelers, Inc., a U.S. division of Signet. He served as a director of Signet from 1996 to 2011.
