Mr. David Puente Vicente serves as a Global Head of Data of Bank Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria, S.A. since 2017. He is responsible for defining and implementing the overall data strategy, strengthening the Groups data governance model, establishing the necessary capabilities from the different areas of the bank in order to develop models for datadriven products and solutions, and boosting a data culture that accelerates BBVAs digital transformation process. Since 2012, David Puente was Head of Business Development for BBVA Spain. In this position, he was responsible for defining the strategy, value proposition and sales planning for each of the Retail and Business Banking segments, as well as the digital transformation of the business model in terms of products, processes, channels, and distribution models. David Puentes area of responsibility covered different units related both to traditional business development and to the new transformation Segments, Products, Insurance, Asset Management, Consumer Finance, Marketing, Sales Research and Intelligence, and Digital Transformation. Prior to this position, David Puentes career in BBVA was closely related to strategic planning and business intelligence, as Chief of Staff for the COO between 2009 and 2012, and, previously, Head of Retail Banking Planning and Development in Spain, and Head of New Business Models. Before joining BBVA, David Puente worked as a consultant in McKinsey Company. He obtained Masters of Business Administration from University of Colombia and degree in Business Management and Administration from CUNEF. since 2019.
