Mr. Simon Segars serves as Independent Director of the Company. Since 1991, Mr. Segars has worked for ARM Holdings plc, a designer and provider of microprocessors, software development tools and related technologies that was publicly held until its acquisition by SoftBank Group Corporationration in September 2016. Mr. Segars has served as ARMs Chief Executive Officer since July 2013 and as a member of its board of directors since 2005. Mr. Segars also has served as a member of SoftBank Group Corporationrations board of directors since June 2017. He served as President of ARM in 2013 before being promoted to Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Segars held the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager, Physical IP Division, from 2007 to 2012. Prior senior roles at ARM include Executive Vice President, Engineering Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Executive Vice President, Business Development. Mr. Segars worked on many of the early ARM CPU products and led the development of the ARM7 and ARM9 Thumb families. He holds a number of patents in the field of embedded CPU architectures since 2015.
