Mr. Claudio Descalzi serves as Chief Executive Officer, General Manager, Director at Eni S.p.A. In 1990, he was appointed Head of Operational Activities for Italy. In 1994, he was named Director of Agip Recherches Congo, with responsibility for all local upstream operations, and in 1998 he became Vice Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Naoc, a Company subsidiary in Nigeria. From 2000 to 2001, he was Regional Manager for Africa, Middle East and China at the Agip Division, where in 2002 he was appointed Country Manager for Italy. From 2002 to 2005, he was Regional Manager for Italy, Africa, Middle East at the Eni Exploration Production Division, and in 2006 he was appointed as Deputy General Manager of the ENI SpA Exploration and Production Division. Since 2006, he was Chairman of Assomineraria. He is Vice President of Confindustria Energy. He graduated in Physics in 1979 from Universita degli Studi di Milano. since 2014.
