He is a member and past chairman of the American Society for Industrial Security, Council on Physical Security and a member of several professional organizations including the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the National Society of Professional Engineers, and the National Fire Protection Association. Mr. Thomas has published numerous articles in various trade journals on integrated security systems and is a frequent speaker at industry workshops and seminars. He has served on the faculty of the U.S. General Services Administration, Federal Protective Service, and Physical Security Academy since 2010.
