Director
Mr. Lapo Pistelli is the International Relations Director of the company. After graduating with honors in International Law in 1988 at the Faculty of Political Science Cesare Alfieri of Florence, he worked in a Study Center and held two administrative mandates in the City of Florence. From 1996 to 2015 he was a member of the Italian Parliament and European Parliament . During the national experience he was a member of the Constitutional Affairs Commission, that of Community Affairs and of the Foreign Affairs Committee. In Brussels he dealt with Economic and Monetary Affairs and Foreign Affairs. He was President of the European UnionSouth Africa Delegation and a member of the Italian Delegation to the OSCE, carrying out numerous monitoring experiences in the transition democracies. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation from 2013 to 2015, he resigned from the position to the Government and Parliament, joining Eni in July 2015, where he took on the role of Senior Vice President dealing with Strategic Analysis for Business Development Support. In April 2017 he was appointed Executive Vice President. He has taught at the University of Florence, the Overseas Studies Program at Stanford University and other foreign universities. He has also collaborated with European and American think tanks specializing in international relations. Among other things, he is a member of the board of the European Council on Foreign Relations, a member of the Institute for International Affairs, a member of the editorial board of Oil and of the scientific committee of EastWest. Journalist, he has written about international politics for some Italian newspapers and specialized magazines, including Limes. since 2017.
