Mr. Robert L. Butler is an Independent Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Clough Global Equity Fund. Mr. Butler is currently an independent consultant for businesses. Mr. Butler was President of Pioneer Funds Distributor, Inc. from 1989 to 1998. He was Senior VicePresident from 1985 to 1988 and Executive VicePresident and Director from 1988 to 1999 of the Pioneer Group, Inc. While at the Pioneer Group, Inc. until his retirement in 1999, Mr. Butler was a Director or Supervisory Board member of a number of subsidiary and affiliated companies, including Pioneer First Polish Investment Fund, JSC, Pioneer Czech Investment Company and Pioneer Global Equity Fund PLC. From 1975 to 1984, Mr. Butler was a VicePresident of the National Association of Securities Dealers . Mr. Butler has served as Trustee since the Funds inception and as Chairman of the Board for the Fund since 2006. Mr. Butler has also served as a member of the Audit Committee and Nominating Committee during his tenure as a Trustee for the Fund. In addition, since being appointed to the Board, Mr. Butler has further enhanced his experience and skills, in conjunction with the other Trustees, through the Boards oversight of the Funds officers in dealing with a diverse range of topics, to include but not limited to, portfolio management, legal and regulatory matters, compliance oversight, preparation of financial statements and oversight of the Funds multiple service providers.
