Mr. Fernando Martins Vaz Chabert serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Executive Board of Hoteis Othon SA since 2012. Prior to his, he acted as Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive and Investor Relations Officer, Member of the Executive Board of the Company. He initiated his career in Portugal, at Hotel Estoril Sol. In 1974, he arrived in Rio de Janeiro to launch the Hotel Intercontinental. In the following year, he was invited to be part of Othon chain, working there for nine years, holding a manager position at Bahia Othon Palace and Belo Horizonte Othon Palace, reaching his first General Manager position, at Belo Horizonte Othon Palace. After that, he worked for Rede Quatro Rodas and Veplan Hotels, was hired by Meridien Hotels Chain as General Manager of Hotel Meridien Bahia. In this company, he spent 17 years, six years as Regional Officer for Brasil and eight years as Regional Officer for Portugal. He gained a degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management from Cornell University. since 2012.
