He graduated from Fundacao Getulio Vargas with a Doctorate in Philosophy in Economics gained in 1983 from Fundacao Getulio Vargas with a Masters in Economics obtained in 1981 and from the Universidade de Brasilia with a degree in Economics in 1979. since 2006.
