Mr. Steven E. Buller is an Independent Trustee of MFS Special Value Trust. Mr. Buller has substantial accounting, investment management, and executive experience at firms within the investment management industry. Mr. Buller was the Chief Financial Officer of BlackRock, Inc., where he oversaw BlackRocks tax department, internal audit and control functions, and the global corporate and investment company accounting policy. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. Buller was an auditor at Ernst Young LLP for over 30 years, where he served as Global Director of Asset Management and as the audit partner for various investment company complexes. Mr. Buller is chairman of the Financial Accounting Standards Advisory Council and was a member of the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board until December 31, 2014. He has also served on the boards of BlackRock Finco UK, a privatelyheld company, and PersontoPerson, a community service organization. since 2014.

MFS Special Value Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the MFS Special's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: MFS Special inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of MFS.
