In 2005, Dr. Blunck became Senior Executive Manager in the Special and Financial Risks Division. In addition to his duties at Muenchener RueckversicherungsGesellschaft AG he also acts as Member of the Supervisory Board of Muenchener und Magdeburger Agrarversicherung AG since 2005.
