Mr. Daniel S. Schwartz is Executive Chairman of the Board, CoChairman of the Company. Mr. Schwartz has served on our Board since December 2014. Mr. Schwartz, the former Chief Executive Officer of the Company from December 2014 until January 22, 2019, was appointed Executive Chairman of the Company effective January 23, 2019 and will serve in that capacity for a transition period ending September 30, 2019. From June 2013 until December 2014, Mr. Schwartz served as CEO, from April 2013 until June 2013, he served as Chief Operating Officer and from January 2011 until April 2013, he served as Chief Financial Officer of BKW and its predecessor. Mr. Schwartz joined Burger King Holdings, Inc. in October 2010 as Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Financial Officer. Since January 2008, Mr. Schwartz was a partner with 3G Capital, where he was responsible for managing 3G Capitals private equity business until October 2010. From 2012 until February 2015, Mr. Schwartz served as a director of Carrols Restaurant Group, Inc., RBIs largest Burger King franchisee in the United States. Mr. Schwartz is a director of 3G Capital. since 2019.

Elected by the shareholders, the Restaurant Brands' board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Restaurant Brands inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Restaurant.
