Mr. Jonathan A. G. Howell serves as Independent NonExecutive Director of The Sage Group PLC. He joined the Board on 15 May 2013 and became Chairman of the Audit Committee in November 2013. Jonathans significant financial and accounting experience, across a number of sectors coupled with his role as Chairman of the Audit and Risk Committee, allow him to provide substantial insight into the Groups financial reporting and risk management processes. Past experience Jonathan recently left the role of Group Finance Director of Close Brothers Group plc, after 10 years, to pursue the next stage of his career, having joined in February 2008. He previously held the same position at the London Stock Exchange Group plc from 1999. Jonathan has also been a Nonexecutive Director of EMAP plc and Chairman of FTSE International. The early part of his career was at Price Waterhouse where he qualified as a chartered accountant since 2013.
