Vilá joined Telefónica in 1997. He held positions of Group Controller, CFO of Telefónica Internacional, Group Head of Corporationrationrationrate Development and Chief Financial and Corporationrationrationrate Development Officer. In 2015 he was appointed Chief Strategy and Finance Officer. Prior to joining Telefónica, he held positions at Citigroup, McKinsey&Co, Ferrovial and Planeta. Institutional Investor nominated Angel Vilá as the Best CFO in European Telecoms in 2015.
