Mr. Avni Aydin Duren has served as Executive Vice President Legal Services and Collection of Turkey Garanti Bank Inc. since February 1, 2009. He graduated from the Faculty of Law at Istanbul Universitesi and earned his graduate degree on International Law from the American University, Washington College of Law. After serving as an associate, partner and managing partner for over 18 years at international private law firms in New York, London and Istanbul, Mr. Duren joined Garanti Bank on February 1, 2009 as Executive Vice President in charge of Legal Services. Furthermore, Mr. Duren is a Board Member of Garanti Payment Systems, Teachers Academy Foundation, Garanti Mortgage and Vice President of Garanti Bank Pension and Provident Fund Foundation. Since June 2015 Mr. Duren is also serves as the Corporationrationrate Secretary of the Bank. With 22 years of experience in banking and business administration, Mr. Durens areas of responsibility are Legal Advisory Services, Legal Collections, Litigation, Garanti Payment Systems Legal Services and Legal Operations. He is Member of the Cost Management Committee, Member of the Responsible Business Committee, Member of the New Business and Product Committee, Member of the Employee Committee, Member of the Customer Committee, Member of the Consumer Committee, Member of the Corporationrationrate Assurance Committee, Member of the Integrity Committee, Member of the Personnel Committee, and Member of the Volcker Rule Oversight Committee of the Company. since 2009.
