Celal Tufekci - Aselsan Elektronik Member of the Board of Directors

Dr. Celal Sami Tufekci has served as Member of the Board of Directors of ASELSAN ELEKTRONIK SANAYI VE TICARET ANONIM SIRKETI since April 2, 2018. He has Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from Gazi Universitesi graduate Mechanical Engineering degree from Northeastern University, Boston, Massachusetts, USA, and doctorate degree from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute all in the field of Mechanical Engineering. He has started his professional career at Pitney Bowes Inc. . As a Mechatronics and Control System Design Specialist, he was a consultant for numerous projects and various companies. After he has served in the manufacturing of satellites and in technology transfer team of Turksat 3A as satellite design specialist at Thales Alenia Space, he took the role of the National Satellite Communications Program Director. Then, he has worked as chief researcher in RASAT and Gokturk2 place observation satellite projects at TUBITAK Space Technologies Research Institute . In his academic career, he has served as a research assistant at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Deputy Head of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Connecticut, Instructor at University of Ontario Institute of Technology, Gazi University and Atilim University and finally instructor and manager of the Central Research Laboratory at Y Yildiz Technical University Faculty of Mechatronics Engineering Department. In the past, he has served on the boards of directors of many companies such as Turk Havacilik ve Uzay Sanayii A.SS. and currently is Ankara Aerospace Industrial Zone Chairman of the Board of Directors and METU MEMS member of the Board of Directors. He is Member of the Corporationrationrate Governance Committee of the Company. since 2018.
