Mr. Johnson helped Wyndham grow from 10 hotels to over 500 hotels during his tenure. Currently, Mr. Johnson serves on the owners board of the Dallas Stars NHL Franchise. Mr. Johnson previously served on several boards of directors, including Strategic Hotel, where he was also a member of its audit committee and corporate governance committee from 2012 to 2016. From 2009 to 2012, Mr. Johnson served as a director of Gaylord Entertainment . He also serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Plano YMCA. He was recognized as a finalist for the Ernst Young 2014 Entrepreneur of the Year. Mr. Johnson received his undergraduate degree in business economics from Northeastern Illinois University, graduating with highest honors. since 2017.
