Mr. John F. Wood is Independent Trustee of the company. Mr. Wood was the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce since June 2018. Prior to joining the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Wood served as a Partner at Hughes Hubbard Reed LLP, a law firm from May 2009 until June 2018 and served as Chairman of the firm Defense Industry Practice Group and CoChair of the Anticorruption and Internal Investigations Practice Group. Prior to joining Hughes Hubbard, Mr. Wood served as United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri from April 2007 to March 2009. In that position, he was the senior federal law enforcement official for the district. He previously served in several other government positions, including Chief of Staff for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security Counselor to the Attorney General, Deputy General Counsel for the White House Office of Management Budget, and Deputy Associate Attorney General Counsel to the Associate Attorney General . He previously practiced law at Kirkland Ellis and was a law clerk for the Supreme Court of the United States and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He was a legislative aide to U.S. Senator John C. Danforth. Mr. Wood received his Bachelor of Arts with Honors from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Harvard Law School. Mr. Wood is a Vornado Board Designee
