Mr. Manuel Polanco Moreno was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Promotora de Informaciones, S.A. effective from January 1, 2018 and has served as Executive Vice Chairman of the Board, Vice President of Prisa of Promotora de Informaciones, S.A. He was appointed as Vice Chairman of the Board on July 20, 2012. He also acted as Executive Member of the Board of Directors of the Company. He was on the Company Board since April 19, 2001. He is Member of the Executive Committee of the Company. In 1991, he was appointed as Manager of Santillana Chile, taking over the management of Santillana Peru a year later, and remaining in both posts until 1993, when he moved to Mexico City to work as General Manager of the newspaper La Prensa, as well as to launch the American edition of El Pais. In 1996, he was appointed as International Manager of Grupo Editorial Santillana in the Americas, managing 21 companies throughout Latin America and the United States. In 1999, he was appointed Chairman of Gerencia de Medios and later he became Chairman of Grupo Empresarial de Medios Impresos . In 2005 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Portugues Media Capital. He holds a degree in Economics from Universidad Autonoma of Madrid. since 2018.
