Mr. Jasper Brian Sanfilippo Jr., is the President, Chief Operating Officer, Assistant Secretary, Director of John B. Sanfilippo Son, Inc. Mr. Sanfilippo was appointed as a member of the Board of Directors in December 2003. Mr. Sanfilippo was employed by us since 1991 and in 2001 was named Executive Vice President Operations, retaining his position as Assistant Secretary, which he assumed in December 1995. He became our Senior Vice President Operations in August 1999 and served as Vice President Operations between December 1995 and August 1999. Prior to that, Mr. Sanfilippo was the General Manager of our Gustine, California facility beginning in October 1995, and from June 1992 to October 1995 he served as Assistant Treasurer and worked in our Financial Relations department. On November 6, 2006 Mr. Sanfilippo was elected as our Chief Operating Officer and President and he has since then continued to hold such positions and is responsible for overseeing plant operations, research and development and product innovation. In May 2007, Mr. Sanfilippo was named as our Treasurer and held that position until January 2009. Mr. Sanfilippo has previously served on the Board of Directors of the National Pecan Shellers Association, an industry association of which our company is a member. Mr. Sanfilippo is the nephew of Mathias A. Valentine, a director of our company, the brother of Jeffrey T. Sanfilippo, an executive officer and director of the company, the brother of James J. Sanfilippo, a director of our company, the cousin of Michael J. Valentine, an executive officer and director of our company and the cousin of James A. Valentine, an executive officer of our company. since 2009.
