Mr. Michael J. Valentine is the Chief Financial Officer, Group President, Secretary, Director of John B. Sanfilippo Son, Inc. Mr. Valentine was employed by us since 1987 and in January 2001 was named Executive Vice President Finance, Chief Financial Officer and Secretary. Mr. Valentine was elected as a director of our company in April 1997. Mr. Valentine served as our Senior Vice President and Secretary from August 1999 to January 2001. He served as Vice President and Secretary from December 1995 to August 1999. He served as our Assistant Secretary and General Manager of External Operations from June 1987 and 1990, respectively, to December 1995. On November 6, 2006 Mr. Valentine was elected as our companys Chief Financial Officer and Group President and he has since then continued to hold such positions. Mr. Valentines responsibilities also include peanut, almond, imported nut, packaging and other ingredient procurement and our contract packaging business. In February 2007, Mr. Valentine was appointed as Secretary of our company. Since 1999 and 2009 Mr. Valentine has served on the Board of Directors of the Peanut and Tree Nut Processors Association and the Board of Directors of the American Peanut Council, respectively, both of which are nut industry associations of which our company is a member. Mr. Valentine is the son of Mathias A. Valentine, a director of our company, the brother of James A. Valentine, an executive officer of our company, the cousin of Jasper B. Sanfilippo, Jr. and Jeffrey T. Sanfilippo, both of whom are executive officers and directors of our company and the cousin of James J. Sanfilippo, a director of our company. since 2007.
