Jacqueline Tammenoms Bakker studied at Oxford University and the Johns Hopkins School for Advanced International Studies in Washington D.C. . She joined Shell International in 1977 holding a number of positions in the Netherlands, the U.K. and Turkey. In 1989 she joined McKinsey where she worked as a consultant in the U.K. and the Netherlands until 1995 when she was appointed VicePresident Food Europe at Quest International in the Netherlands. In 1999 she moved to the public sector in the Netherlands, firstly as Director of GigaPort, and then as DirectorGeneral of Freight Transport and DirectorGeneral of Civil Aviation and Freight Transport at the Dutch Ministry of Transport. In 2006 she was awarded the Lgion dHonneur for her contribution to cooperation between the Netherlands and France, and in 20062007 she chaired the High Level Group on the regulatory framework for civil aviation reporting to the EU Commissioner for Transport. Since 2008 Ms. Tammenoms Bakker was an independent board member and she is currently a Board member of TomTom, Unibail Rodamco, Groupe Wendel and Chairman of the Van Leer Group Foundation . Previously she was a Board member of Vivendi and Tesco PLC . since 2013.
