Mr. Lakshmi Narayan Mittal has served as Chairman of the Board Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Executive Board of ArcelorMittal S.A. since January 1 2016. Prior to that he was Chairman of the Board Chief Executive Officer Member of the Group Management Board and Member of the Management Committee of ArcelorMittal S.A. from May 13 2008. He founded Mittal Steel Company in 1989. He has also been member of various boards and trusts including chairman of the board of Aperam and the boards of Goldman Sachs and Airbus N.V . He is a member of the Foreign Investment Council in Kazakhstan the World Economic Forums International Business Council and the World Steel Associations Executive Committee. He also sits on the Board of Trustees of Cleveland Clinic in the United States since 2021.

Arcelormittal Leadership Team
Elected by the shareholders, the Arcelormittal's board of directors comprises two types of representatives: Arcelormittal inside directors who are chosen from within the company, and outside directors, selected externally and held independent of Arcelormittal. The board's role is to monitor Arcelormittal's management team and ensure that shareholders' interests are well served.
